Origin of the Agency
CPPE is an agency in the Office of Agricultural Economics,OAE. It was originally the Evaluation Division. After the enactment of the Government Administration Act 2001 and the Act on the Improvement of Ministries, Departments and Agencies 2002, all government agencies had to adjust their roles, missions and organizational structures to be in line with the government’s policy to develop the Thai civil service system to be excellent and able to support the development of Thailand by adhering to the principles of good governance and the benefits of the people. Therefore, the status of the “Evaluation Division” was upgraded to the current “Centre for Project and Programme Evaluation”.
